This afternoon, Wigdor LLP filed a complaint on behalf of Fox News Radio Correspondent Jessica Golloher, alleging gender discrimination and retaliation against Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc., Fox News Network LLC, Hank Weinbloom, Director of News Programming for Fox News Radio, and Mitch Davis, Vice President of Fox News Radio. Wigdor LLP has, to date, had the pleasure to represent 20 current and former employees at Fox.
As alleged in the complaint, after joining Fox in 2008 Ms. Golloher was subjected to repeated acts of discrimination based on her gender, as well as discriminatory comments and boorish gender-based misconduct. According to the lawsuit, Ms. Golloher was encouraged to complain to Fox News after receiving an April 2017 company-wide email urging Fox employees to raise any concerns about workplace behavior with Human Resources, Fox General Counsel Dianne Brandi, or the Paul Weiss law firm. Acting on the belief that her complaint would be treated with prompt and confidential consideration, Ms. Golloher emailed the Paul Weiss law firm, requesting a meeting. As the lawsuit contends, less than 24 hours after reaching out to the Paul Weiss law firm, Fox terminated Ms. Golloher in retaliation for her complaint.
The lawsuit follows a Class Action Complaint filed by Wigdor LLP against Fox News, alleging race discrimination on behalf of 11 former and current Fox employees.
