JOSEPH BENINCASA
Joseph Benincasa is a Law Clerk at Wigdor LLP (admission pending).
Since joining Wigdor LLP, Mr. Benincasa has worked on various matters involving all aspects of employment litigation, including cases involving sexual harassment, sexual assault, discrimination on the basis of race, gender, pregnancy, age, religion, disability and/or LGBTQ+ status, retaliation, wage-and-hour violations and class and collective actions.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Benincasa interned for the New York State United Teacher’s Union (NYSUT), where he handled new and emerging COVID-19 issues related to labor and employment law. Additionally, while at NYSUT Mr. Benincasa helped defend private and public school teachers in various claims, such as, wage-and-hour, retaliation and various labor disputes. Mr. Benincasa also previously interned as a summer law clerk for the Hon. Steven I. Locke in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
In June 2021, Mr. Benincasa earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was the Senior Blog Editor for the Labor Relations and Employment Law Society. Mr. Benincasa received a B.S. in International Business from Western New England University.
