Wigdor LLP recently obtained preliminary court approval of a $2 million settlement in a class action wage and hour lawsuit against renowned restaurants Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Blue Hill New York.  The complaint alleges that Blue Hill, ranked #11 on the ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ List by New York dining guide Eater, failed to pay a class of current and former service employees the minimum wage, and unlawfully retained and distributed tips.

The $2 million settlement, which has been lauded as “one of the largest sums in the past decade” in wage and hour lawsuits of its kind, will be subject to a final fairness and approval hearing in July 2017.

The Class Members are represented by Jeanne M. Christensen, Partner at Wigdor LLP, and Senior Associate Tanvir H. Rahman.
