Titan Capital Lawsuit
Wigdor LLP currently represents Danielle Pecile and Cristina Culicea in their sexual harassment claims against a New York City hedge fund, Titan Capital Group. The complaint details the harassing conduct of Marc and Russell Abrams which include Ms. Pecile and Ms. Culicea being forced to view nude photographs of their bosses wife, as well as explicit threats made by Marc Abrams.

Wigdor LLP currently represents Ms. Maysa Abdel-Razeq, a single mother and two-time cancer survivor in an action against her employer Alvarez & Marsal Inc. Ms. Abdel- Razeq has been subjected to, as alleged in the complaint, a blatant campaign of sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation at the hands of her boss.

Wigdor LLP currently represents Holly Wu in her sexual harassment and retaliation claims against her former employer, Starbucks. As alleged in the complaint, Ms. Wu was subjected to unwanted sexual comments and contact. Ms. Wu also was forced to view videos of her co-worked engaged in sexual acts. Ms. Wu was fired without notice only three weeks after she complained that she was being sexually harassed.

Excel Dentistry
Wigdor LLP currently represents former office manager Claudine Wermann in an action against Excel Dentistry and Dr. George Michael Medeiros. As alleged in the complaint, employees and patients were victims of Dr. Medeiros’ sexually charged rants and an inability to keep his hands off their breasts, groins and behinds. Dr. Medeiros repeatedly made sexually explicit and derogatory comments towards Ms. Wermann throughout her four-year employment.

It is also unlawful to retaliate against someone for if he or she complains about sexual harassment, and Wigdor LLP obtained a multi-million dollar verdict at trial on behalf of former Editor-in-Chief of the Source Magazine in such a case. After a two-week trial, a jury in Manhattan Federal Court returned a multi-million dollar verdict on behalf of Kim Osorio. The jury found that Ms. Osorio was retaliated against when she filed a complaint of discrimination and was defamed when the co-owner of the Source, Raymond Scott (aka “Benzino”), claimed that she attempted to extort the Source. Individual defendant and co-owner David Mays was also found liable.

Hofstra University
Wigdor LLP represented graduate student Lauren Summa in a retaliation lawsuit against Hofstra University. As detailed in the Complaint, while employed as a student athletic manager on the football team, Ms. Summa complained about unrelenting acts of sexual harassment at the hands of male student football players. Ms. Summa reported the conduct to team coaches and other school officials who took a series of steps designed to retaliate against Ms. Summa. This case has received national media attention, and was subsequently resolved.

Wigdor LLP, along with co-counsel Imbessi Christensen, currently represents the Plaintiffs in a class action law suit against well-known New York City bar Johnny Utah’s. The complaint alleges that female employees were persistently subjected to sexual harassment and humiliation, including being required to kiss patrons and other employees and permit customers and management to touch and grope them at will. As alleged, complaints to management were not addressed in any manner.
