Doug Letterman / Flickr / CC BY 2.0 Wigdor LLP has filed a class action wage and hour lawsuit against the Michelin star-rated restaurant, Gramercy Tavern. The Gramercy Tavern, owned by New York restaurant mogul Danny Meyer, is a member of the Union Square Hospitality Group, together with restaurants including Shake Shack and Union Square Café. The lawsuit, filed in the Southern District of New York, alleges that the Defendants failed to pay service employees the required minimum wage and retained and distributed gratuities that should have been distributed to the service staff. As a class action, the lawsuit seeks to secure relief for all Gramercy Tavern employees who are similarly situated to the class representatives.
